Risk-drafting the United States of America

Imagine a map of the United States of America was transformed into a game of Risk, with each state as a territory, and that state’s total economic output corresponding with the number of armies it can produce. In which order would the states be drafted?
Imagine five players, so each each player will end up with ten states. Alaska is connected to Hawaii and Washington. Hawaii is connected to Alaska and California. Here’s how I think it would play out, in a snake draft.

Philly Pinoy’s offerings would seem a honey trap for foodies—Filipino dishes unfamiliar to the American palate, like ginisand ampalaya, a sautéed bitter melon, and bopis, a spicy concoction of offal that would not be out of place at some nose-to-tail joint a neighborhood over. But it’s not the foodies that eat at Philly Pinoy, and it’s not the vacationers; it’s the crews from the ships.
